What we treat, and what it involves
Each guide covers the treatment itself, how many trips it takes, what it costs on both sides, and the questions worth asking before you book anything.

Where to start
Not sure which treatment you need?
Most people arrive with a problem rather than a treatment name. These are the three the problems usually sort into.
Teeth that are missing, or about to be
One gap, several, or a whole arch that is failing. The choice is between replacing teeth individually and replacing the arch on a small number of implants — which depends on how much bone is there, and that is a scan question rather than a website question.
Teeth that are damaged or heavily filled
Cracked, worn down, or rebuilt so many times there is not much tooth left. A crown covers what remains; the question worth asking is always how much sound tooth has to be removed to fit one.
Teeth you are unhappy with the look of
Discoloured, chipped, or slightly uneven. Whitening changes the shade and removes nothing; veneers change shape and colour but are irreversible. If what is bothering you is only the shade, the cheaper answer is usually the right one.
Questions about treatment
Which dental treatments can I have in Turkey?
The work UK patients travel for is almost always implants, full-arch implant bridges (All-on-4 and All-on-6), porcelain veneers, crowns and whitening. Those are the treatments covered on this site, each with its own guide and its own cost page. Routine care — check-ups, fillings, hygienist appointments — is not worth a flight and we do not pretend otherwise.
How many trips to Turkey does dental treatment take?
Implants and full-arch work take two trips a few months apart, because the implant has to fuse with the jawbone before the permanent teeth can be fitted. Veneers, crowns and whitening are usually a single trip. Every guide on this site states the number of trips at the top, and the cost calculator multiplies the flight cost by it rather than quoting one flight.
How long do I have to stay in Antalya?
Between five and seven nights for most treatments, per trip. Veneers and crowns need the teeth prepared, temporaries fitted, the laboratory work made and the final result bonded — that is the week. Implant surgery itself is shorter, but the second trip is where the permanent teeth go on.
Is a veneer the same as a crown?
No, and the difference is how much tooth is removed. A veneer is a facing bonded to the front of the tooth and typically takes around half a millimetre of enamel. A crown covers the whole tooth and needs it reduced on every side. Some clinics fit crowns and call them veneers, which is where a good deal of the bad press about dental work abroad comes from. Ask which one is planned, and how much reduction it involves.
Do you decide my treatment from photographs?
No. Photographs are enough for a rough idea and nothing more. The plan is made after an examination in the UK, with the scans that implant planning depends on, and it is written down tooth by tooth with a fixed price before anything is booked.
What if I need something treating before the main work?
It gets treated first. Extractions, gum treatment and bone grafting are common findings at an examination, and they change both the plan and the total. That is the point of examining you before you commit rather than discovering it mid-treatment.
Will a UK dentist see me afterwards?
Ballıpınar runs a London aftercare clinic and face-to-face consultation days around the UK, so the follow-up does not depend on finding a British dentist willing to pick up someone else's work. Take your written plan and your guarantee with you to any dentist you see — a dentist who can read what was done is a dentist who can help.
Deciding between treatment here and treatment at home? The case for and against travelling puts both sides on one page, and the UK directory lists the practices near you so you can price the same work locally first.
