No patient travels for treatment before being examined in person in the UK and given a written plan with a fixed price.
How the directory is built
Swept, filed by address, and gated before it goes in the index
Three decisions decide what you see on a city page. Each of them costs us listings, traffic or both.
Nobody applies. We sweep the town.
Dental Journey Turkey lists dental practices across 123 UK towns and cities: name, address, contact details, opening hours, the treatments they advertise, and their aggregate rating with the number of reviews behind it.
Nobody applies to be included. We sweep each town in turn and publish what is there, which means the directory contains practices that would rather not share a page with a clinic in Antalya. They are listed anyway, accurately, because a directory that quietly omitted the strongest local competition would be worth nothing to the person reading it.
A practice is filed by its address, not by our search.
A practice appears on the page for the area its address is in — never the area we happened to search for it under. It sounds like a technicality and it is not. Search for dentists in one neighbourhood and you get back practices from the other side of the city; trusting the question instead of the address put clinics on pages they had nothing to do with. Plausible to us, and obviously wrong to anyone who actually lives there.
The cost of doing it properly is that most practices sit on their city's main page rather than on a neighbourhood page, and the area pages are smaller than they could be. For a directory whose only real value is being correct, that is the right trade.
Pages that aren't good enough don't go in the index.
Coverage is uneven, because dentistry is unevenly distributed. A town where we have found fewer than 8 practices — or an area with fewer than 4 — still has a page, so that links work and the structure holds together, but that page is marked noindex and kept out of the sitemap. It will not turn up in a search result, because a page with four listings on it is not an answer to “dentists in my town”.
This is the opposite of how most directories behave, and it is deliberate: the quickest way to make a site like this worthless is to publish a thin page for every town in Britain and let search engines sort it out.
What a listing gives you
- Name, address, phone number and opening hours, compiled from public listings.
- The treatments the practice advertises, in its own words.
- Its aggregate rating and the number of reviews behind it, attributed where it appears.
- The date those details were last refreshed, on the clinic page itself.
What a listing is not
- A check that the practice is registered with the General Dental Council.
- A statement that it is open, trading or taking on new patients.
- A verified NHS or private status — where a listing says either, it is inferred from the practice's own name.
- A recommendation. We do not score practices or rank them by anything other than the data they publish about themselves.
Treat a listing as a record of what a practice publishes about itself — a starting point for a phone call, not a credential.
How this site makes money
It does not, until someone flies to Antalya
There is no advertising, no listing fee, no commission and no referral payment from any practice on this site. The site earns nothing at all unless someone reads it, decides the comparison is worth acting on, and chooses to be treated by Ballıpınar in Antalya.
That is the bias, and it points in one direction. A comparison that only ever comes out one way is an advert, and readers can tell.

We are not going to pretend to be neutral on a page about trust.
Not independent
We treat patients in Antalya, and every page here shows what we charge next to what UK private treatment costs. What we can promise is that the local information is accurate and unpaid, that we say plainly who we are, and that we would rather tell you to stay home than sell you a trip you should not take.
Not a regulator or a rating agency
We do not score practices, rank them by anything other than the data they publish about themselves, or tell you which one to choose. For clinical standards and complaints in the UK, the General Dental Council is the body that holds the register.
Not a source of dental advice
Everything published here is general information about treatments and what they cost. What is right for your mouth can only be decided after an examination by a registered dental professional — which is why nobody travels with us before being seen in person in the UK.

Editorial standards
What we publish, and what we won't
Most of these rules cost us something. They are here because the alternative costs more.
We don't republish other people's reviews
A practice's aggregate rating and its review count appear on its listing, attributed where they appear, and that is the end of it. No review text is copied onto this site. Where a clinic profile shows a photograph, the photographer is credited beside it and the image is never stored on our servers.
We don't print a checked figure and an unchecked one the same way
Every UK price range on this site carries a citable source and the date it was read. Our own Antalya figures have not cleared that bar: the clinic's price list is not signed off, so what you see is a typical market range, and it is labelled as an estimate every single place it appears rather than in a footnote at the bottom. Same for the flight fares.
The first thing a reader does with a flight price is look it up on Skyscanner, and they should be able to. Your actual price is fixed in writing after the UK examination and does not move afterwards unless you agree a change.
We don't make clinical claims without a clinician
Dental content is health content, and anything clinical on this site is written to be reviewed by a named, registered dentist. Until a reviewer is named against a page, that page carries no “medically reviewed” line and no medical review markup — an unearned stamp is worse than no stamp.
We don't invent numbers, and we attribute the ones we borrow
There are no made-up success rates on this site, no “98% of patients” and no statistics without a source. Where we repeat something Ballıpınar publishes about itself — its over 50 years of practice, or more than one million treatments — it is reported as the clinic's own published claim, as published by the clinic at ballipinar.net, rather than asserted as a fact we have audited. We have not audited it. Saying so is the point.
We don't use stock photography of patients
No borrowed smiles, no models standing in for people we have treated. Before-and-after material appears only when it is ours and the patient has consented to it. On a health site, borrowed proof is worse than none.

A directory of 4,780 practices will contain mistakes: practices that have moved, closed, changed hands or changed what they offer.

If you find a mistake — especially if it is your practice — send the practice name, the town, and what is wrong. Corrections are applied at the next refresh, or sooner if it matters.

Is Dental Journey Turkey independent?
No. Dental Journey Turkey is published by Ballıpınar Dental, a dental clinic in Antalya, Türkiye, and we treat patients ourselves. That makes us a competitor of most practices listed on this site, and we say so on every page rather than in a disclosure buried behind a link.
Do dental practices pay to be listed here?
No. No practice pays to appear, no practice can pay for a higher position, and no listed practice has any commercial relationship with us. There is no advertising on the site and no sponsored placement. Practices are listed because they exist, not because they applied.
Where does the clinic information come from?
Names, addresses, contact details, opening hours and aggregate ratings are compiled from public listings. They are refreshed monthly, and each clinic page carries the date its details were last verified. We do not check entries against the GDC register or NHS listings, so a listing here is a record of what a practice publishes about itself — not a statement that it is registered, open or accepting patients. Where a listing says NHS or private, that is inferred from the practice's own name.
Why can't I read any reviews on this site?
Because they are not ours to republish. We show a practice's aggregate rating and the number of reviews behind it, always attributed where it appears, and nothing more. Review text belongs to the people who wrote it and stays where they wrote it. Where a clinic profile shows a photograph, the photographer is credited beside it and the image is never copied onto our own servers.
How do I correct my practice's details or have it removed?
Email us through the contact page with the practice name and town. Corrections are made at the next refresh or sooner. Removal needs no reason and no justification — tell us you would rather not be listed and the entry comes out, and stays out through future data refreshes.
How does this site make money?
Only when a patient chooses to be treated by Ballıpınar in Antalya. We take no listing fees, no advertising, no commission and no referral payments from any practice on this site. That is the bias, stated plainly, and it is why the listings are unpaid and why we publish the case against travelling alongside the case for it.
Who is Ballıpınar Dental?

For a single filling or one crown it will tell you to stay at home, because that is the truthful answer.
