Typical range — your written quote is fixed before you fly

UK figures from published national provider fee lists, checked 14 August 2026. The Antalya figure is a typical range, not a quote — the clinic's own list is not signed off yet, and your written price is fixed after the UK examination.

The short version

  • Single dental implant costs £2,000–£3,500 privately in the UK, per implant, including crown.
  • Porcelain veneer costs £600–£1,200 privately in the UK, per tooth.
  • Zirconia or E-max crown costs £700–£1,200 privately in the UK, per tooth.
  • Professional whitening costs £150–£700 privately in the UK, full course.
  • Those ranges come from published UK provider price lists and a March 2026 survey of 2,233 practices. Each one is sourced and dated below.
  • What matters is not the treatment price but the all-in cost: treatment, plus flights multiplied by the number of trips, plus hotel and transfers — measured against the midpoint of the UK range, never the top of it.
  • Implant and full-arch work needs two trips months apart. Veneers, crowns and whitening are usually one.
  • For small pieces of work the arithmetic comes out against travelling, and this page says so rather than hiding it.

Where these figures come from

  • Bupa Dental Care publishes £2,400 for an implant, abutment and screw-retained porcelain crown, and £2,200–£3,500 depending on the practice. mydentist publishes £2,000–£3,200 for the same three parts, £2,500–£3,200 in London. Checked 14 August 2026.
  • Bupa Dental Care publishes porcelain veneers from £648; TKC Dental publishes up to £1,200 for a hand-made porcelain veneer. A March 2026 survey of 2,233 UK practice listings (TreatCompare) puts the porcelain median at £614. Checked 14 August 2026.
  • Bupa Dental Care publishes Cerec crowns from £713; TKC Dental publishes up to £1,200 for a hand-made porcelain crown. The March 2026 TreatCompare survey of 2,233 UK practice listings puts the crown median at £720. Checked 14 August 2026.
  • The March 2026 TreatCompare survey of 2,233 UK practice listings gives £150–£696, median £380, spanning dentist-supplied take-home trays through to in-chair treatment. Checked 14 August 2026.

Only sourced figures are drawn here — every bar comes off a published UK fee list with the date it was read. The Antalya prices in the table below are typical market ranges rather than the clinic's signed-off list, which is why they are labelled and why they are not on a chart that implies this much precision. Ask us for a figure for your own case and you will get one in writing.

UK or Antalya: everything else that differs

Price is one row of this decision. These are the other seven, and they do not depend on a price list being signed off.

Dental treatment: having it done in the UK compared with having it done with us in AntalyaEight things that differ between the two routes. Three of them favour staying at home, and they are in the table rather than left out of it. The Antalya price is a typical range rather than the clinic's signed-off list, which is not published yet — your own figure is fixed in writing after the UK examination.

The row that decides it is the first one, and it is the only one that depends on how much work you need. For a single unit the price gap rarely covers two flights and a hotel; for a full arch it covers them several times over. That is what the calculator on this page is for — it does the arithmetic for dental treatment with your unit count and your airport in it, and it is allowed to come back and tell you to stay at home.

All-in total

You'd be about £990 better off, with flights and hotel counted in — around 36%.

That compares our full trip cost against the middleof the UK private range, not the top of it. If you've been quoted more than that locally, the gap is wider.

Flight figures are typical return fares from London Gatwick, not quotes. Antalya routes are seasonal, so book early and expect peak-summer fares to sit at the top of that range.

This treatment needs 2 trips, so the flight cost above is for 2 return journeys. The implant has to fuse with the bone before the permanent tooth goes on and no clinic can shorten that.

Treatment prices become fixed in your written plan after the UK examination. Anything that needs treating first — an extraction, gum treatment, a bone graft — is identified then, not mid-trip.

Method

How the all-in number is worked out

Five rules, applied the same way on every page of this site. They are written down so you can check the arithmetic rather than trust it.

  1. Treatment price × how many units you need

Per implant, per veneer, per arch. A price per tooth is meaningless until it is multiplied by the number of teeth, and a full set of veneers is where the comparison is usually won or lost.

  2. Flights × the number of trips the treatment needs

Not one flight. Two trips, months apart, for Implants, All-on-4 and All-on-6 — an implant has to fuse with the jawbone before the permanent tooth can go on it. One trip for Veneers, Hollywood Smile, Crowns and Whitening. Quoting a single flight against a two-trip treatment is the most damaging thing a comparison like this could do.

  3. Hotel for the nights the treatment actually takes

Each treatment has a realistic stay length attached to it, per trip, and the accommodation cost follows from that rather than from an optimistic weekend.

  4. Transfers, and nothing invented on top

Airport transfers and travel between the hotel and the clinic. What is not added is a guess at meals, sightseeing or shopping — those are your holiday, not your treatment, and putting them in the sum would make the comparison meaningless in either direction.

  5. Compared against the midpoint of the UK range

Never the top. If the UK range is £2,000–£3,500, the comparison point is the middle of it. Measuring from the top would inflate every figure on this site by hundreds of pounds per unit, and it is the standard trick of the pages this one competes with.

And the answer is allowed to be no

The calculator can come back saying a trip is not worth taking, and for small pieces of work it routinely does. When that happens it also works out the point at which it would be worth it — “worth travelling from four units” — so the answer is useful rather than just discouraging. A comparison that only ever comes out one way is an advert, and a saving of £400 quoted with a straight face is what makes a saving of £6,000 unbelievable.

Worth it, or not

Which work justifies the trip, and which doesn't

The honest cross-treatment answer, before you spend an evening on the arithmetic.

Usually worth it

  • A full arch — All-on-4 or All-on-6 — where the UK private figure runs into five digits per jaw.
  • Several implants at once. The saving is per implant while the flights and hotel are paid once per trip.
  • A full set of veneers or crowns, where the price is per tooth and the tooth count does the work.
  • Work you have already been quoted for at home and postponed because of the number.

Usually not

  • A single crown, a single veneer or a filling. Two flights and a hotel eat the difference and then some.
  • Whitening on its own — it is the cheapest thing on any list, here or at home.
  • Anything that needs your dentist to see you every few weeks. Continuity is worth real money and travel does not replace it.
  • Treatment during a year when you cannot take two separate trips, if the plan is implants.
  • Any plan at all while gum disease or heavy smoking is untreated. That gets dealt with first, wherever the work happens.

Why treatment costs less in Türkiye

Clinical salaries, premises, laboratory work and the exchange rate are all substantially lower than in the UK, and between them they account for most of a UK private fee. The materials — implant systems, zirconia, porcelain — trade internationally and cost a Turkish clinic roughly what they cost a British one.

That is a real explanation for a large gap, and it is also the limit of the explanation. A quote far below other Turkish clinics is saving money somewhere, and the usual place is materials. Ask for the brand and the certificate.

What none of it explains is the other side of the trip: who sees you when you are home, and what happens if something fails. The process, step by step covers that, and the case for and against puts both halves of the argument on one page.

What the money buys

The part a price table can't show you

The calculator on this page charges you for a hotel and for transfers. It is only fair that you can see what it is charging you for. Ballıpınar publishes a four- or five-star hotel and VIP airport transfers as part of the treatment package — so here is the week those two lines pay for, with the treatment days in it rather than edited out.

A hotel pool terrace at golden hour, empty loungers under palms with the Mediterranean beyond

The week itself

What actually happens, in order

Four stages, each one tied to a line in the package above it. Where a picture below is a photograph it says so; where it is an illustration it says that instead.

The day you land

Someone is at arrivals before you are

You clear the terminal and the transfer is already waiting — the clinic's own vehicle, not a taxi rank and not a shuttle bus you share with a resort. It is the first thing that happens after a four-hour flight, and it is included, which is why the calculator never adds a fare for it.

  • Included: Airport transfers in Antalya

The drive in

Half an hour, in a seat you can think in

Antalya's airport sits east of the city, so there is a drive at each end of every appointment day. Your coordinator has the schedule and speaks English, which matters most on the day you arrive tired and the day you leave numb.

  • Included: Interpreter / English-speaking coordinator
The interior of a premium transfer van: cream leather seats, a folding table and bottled water
Illustration of a private transfer interior, not the actual vehicle.

Where you sleep

A four- or five-star hotel, for the nights the treatment actually needs

Not a room chosen to make a total look small. The stay length comes from the treatment — each one carries its own nights-per-trip figure, and the calculator multiplies by that rather than by an optimistic weekend. What it is not is a free holiday: the nights are costed, and you can see the figure change when you change the treatment.

  • Included: Hotel accommodation for the treatment stay

The days in between

Most treatments leave gaps, and they are yours

Between appointments there is usually a day or two with nothing in it. Antalya is a decent place to have them. We will also tell you plainly what your mouth will be up to in that first week — soft food, shade, and no ambitious dinners — because a page that promises you a beach holiday two days after surgery is not a page to trust with your teeth.

The clinic, photographed

Everything above this line is generated and says so. These are Ballıpınar's own photographs of the Antalya clinic — the room the work actually happens in, which is the one thing on this page we are not willing to draw.

No patient is identifiable in any of them, and that is not an accident of framing — the same rule that keeps borrowed review text off this site keeps borrowed faces off it. Before-and-after photographs arrive when there is consent on file for them, and not before.

And now the part the pictures leave out

  • None of this is free. The hotel and the transfers are inside the treatment price, so you are paying for them — which is exactly why the calculator counts the nights rather than describing them as a gift.
  • Flights are not included. You book them, and for implants and full-arch work you book them twice, months apart. That is the single largest thing that turns a good-looking saving into a mediocre one.
  • Treatment days are treatment days. Surgery is followed by swelling, soft food and an early night, not by the terrace. Anyone selling you a holiday with some dentistry attached has the order the wrong way round.
  • A nice hotel does not make a small job worth the trip. For one crown or one veneer the arithmetic still comes out against travelling, and the calculator on this page will still tell you so.

The comparison that decides it is the all-in one, with your treatment, your unit count and your airport in it. Go back and run yours.

In detail

Cost, treatment by treatment

What each one is made of in a UK quote, the costs that are easy to miss, and how to compare two quotes properly.

Looking for the treatment itself rather than the price? Every treatment we do — or start with dental implants.

Questions about price

Where do the UK figures come from?

Published price lists from national UK providers — Bupa Dental Care, mydentist and TKC Dental — alongside a March 2026 survey of 2,233 UK practice listings. Every row on this page states its own source and the date it was checked. They are typical private fee ranges rather than quotes: what you are quoted locally depends on your case and your dentist, which is why a range is shown rather than a single number.

How much is a dental implant in the UK privately?

Between £2,000 and £3,500 per implant including the abutment and crown, based on the published fees of two national providers. Bupa Dental Care publishes £2,400 for an implant, abutment and screw-retained porcelain crown; mydentist publishes £2,000–£3,200 for the same three parts, rising to £2,500–£3,200 in London. Both were checked on 14 August 2026.

Does the NHS pay for implants or veneers?

Not routinely. NHS dentistry covers implants and cosmetic work only in narrow clinical circumstances — after facial trauma or oral cancer surgery, for example. For almost everyone reading this page the comparison is private treatment at home against private treatment abroad, not NHS against either.

Why do you compare against the middle of the UK range?

Because comparing against the top of it would inflate every saving we quote. If UK implants run £2,000–£3,500, the honest comparison point is the middle of that, not £3,500. The midpoint is the conservative choice, and a saving measured from it is one we can defend when somebody checks.

Are flights included in the price?

No. You book your own flights, which is usually cheaper and gives you control of the dates. Transfers and accommodation for the treatment stay are arranged by us. The calculator on this page adds an estimated flight cost on top of treatment precisely because it is not included — leaving it out is how a comparison flatters itself.

Why does the calculator multiply the flight cost?

Because some treatments need two trips. An implant has to fuse with the jawbone before the permanent tooth can go on it, which takes months, so implant and full-arch work means flying out twice. Veneers, crowns and whitening are usually one trip. Quoting one flight for a two-trip treatment is the single most misleading thing a comparison like this could do, so the number of trips is built into the arithmetic rather than mentioned in a footnote.

Is your Antalya price the final price?

It is the price per unit, and it is what appears on your written plan once we have examined you in the UK. What can change a total is finding something that has to be treated first — an extraction, gum treatment, a bone graft. That is identified at the examination, before you commit, not mid-treatment.

Is it actually worth flying to Turkey for dental work?

It depends entirely on how much work you need. For a single crown, one veneer or a filling, no — once two flights, a hotel and time off work are in the sum, the difference stops covering the disruption. For a full arch, several implants or a full set of veneers, the gap runs to thousands and the travel is a rounding error against it. The calculator on this page is built to give that answer both ways, including the answer that says stay at home.

Why is dental treatment cheaper in Türkiye?

Clinical salaries, premises costs, laboratory fees and the exchange rate are all substantially lower than in the UK, and between them they account for most of a UK private fee. The materials are the same: implant systems, zirconia and porcelain trade internationally and cost a Turkish clinic roughly what they cost a British one. That explains a large gap — but it is also the limit of the explanation, and a quote far below other Turkish clinics is saving money somewhere.

What should I ask before accepting any quote, here or abroad?

Which implant system or porcelain, by brand; whether the quoted price includes the abutment and the final crown or only the fixture; how many appointments and how many trips; what happens if something fails, in writing; and who sees you if there is a problem after you are home. A clinic that answers all five plainly is worth talking to.
